Kathryn has been working in the field of mental health for over 20 years. Kathryn is a Registered Play Therapist and primarily works with children, parents, families, conduct disorders, ADHD, anger issues, and trauma. Creative interventions supplement the use of Person-Centered Theory to allow clients to naturally gravitate toward wellness.  Kathryn has worked with a diverse range of clients, from children to geriatrics; those dealing with anxiety, depression, and various general mental health problems, providing clients a safe space to grow insight and process emotions.

As a person-centered therapist, I believe the client is the master of their own reality and it is my job to meet them where they are at. I am a licensed professional counseling associate who is also targeted case management certified with trainings in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy and serious mental illness. While I work with ages 13-75, I have found that my heart and passion are with the adolescent population. Each client has their own unique healing journey, and I am eager to provide a safe and nonjudgemental space to explore this and peel back the layers that make you, you. Regardless of your situation and background, I look forward to working together to build a therapeutic relationship!

Sabrina Lovell-Spear is a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor Associate with a passion for helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges. Specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, child, adolescent, adult therapy and substance abuse. Sabrina takes a collaborative and client-centered approach to therapy, tailoring treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each person.

Sabrina holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands and has completed course work in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. With a strong belief in the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment, Sabrina empowers clients to develop resilience, achieve personal growth, and enhance their overall well-being.

Sabrina is committed to continuous professional development and regularly participates in workshops, training, and professional conferences to stay informed about evidence-based practices. She actively seeks opportunities to deepen her knowledge and refine her skills in emerging therapeutic modalities, ensuring that her clients receive the most effective and up-to-date care. Sabrina also values collaboration with colleagues and supervisors to enhance her clinical expertise and contribute to a culture of lifelong learning within the mental health field.

Sabrina has worked for Union County Public Schools for 26 years in the Special Education Department. She works closely with Special Education Teachers, training them on student’s Individual Education Plans. Sabrina plans on retiring from the school system in 2025 so she can focus on helping individuals and families.

When not working with clients, Sabrina enjoys boating, travel, spoiling her five grandchildren and just being around her family.
